    In the summer of 2011 Marc Krejci became the first person in history to run the entire 444 miles of the Natchez Trace Parkway extending from Natchez, MS to Nashville, TN in order to raise money and awareness for a non-profit organization called First Generation. It began in Natchez, MS and completed in Nashville at the world-famous Loveless Cafe.

    First Generation is a new platform designed to educate and equip individuals and organizations to help put an end to global poverty and injustice. The name is inspired by a quote from U2 frontman, Bono: "It's an amazing thing to think that ours is the FIRST GENERATION in history that can really put an end to injustice and extreme poverty. We let our own pathetic excuses about how it's "difficult" justify our own inaction. Be honest. We have the science, the technology, and the wealth. What we don't have is the will, and that's not a reason that history will accept."

  • Natchez Trace Parkway

    At the turn of the 19th century, the Old Trace was the most significant highway of the Southwest and one of the more important roads in the nation. It was an avenue of exploration, international rivalry, warfare, trade, settlement, and development. Today, the Parkway is the seventh most visited unit in the National Park System and is extremely popular among RV campers and touring bicyclists. However, to date nobody has yet to run the entire length on foot!
